Purple People

It's my observation that if purple is your favorite color, then you REALLY love purple. You love purple to the point that if I walk into work (like I did today) wearing a purple top, you might say to me, "Oh, I see you wore purple for me." "Sure, yes I did," I reply. 

Of the people I've known that select purple as their signature favorite color, there is a commonality of being intensely committed to it. I like green. And I know others that like, let's say, "Tarheel Blue" if they went to UNC. However, there's is no color that seems to inspire as much faith as purple.
